Taking The Comforts Of Home With You

66995 - tote bagAlthough I’m far from being a jet-setter, I do travel quite a bit in my job, so I’m always looking for things that will lessen the little inconveniences of being “on the road.”67703 - umbrella

For example, I love this Flamingo Tote Bag. It’s roomy enough for all my essentials, plus the design is so bright and cheery, it perks me up no matter how dreary my surroundings. The M&M’s Umbrella is nice and compact for travel, yet I can count on the large canopy to protect me from wet weather. (Why does it always seem to rain right when I need a taxi?)

When I find myself with a little time to kill between flights or meetings, I pull out my mini stress-reliever—this classic Fifteen game! Relaxing enough to keep my mind occupied, but challenging enough so that I don’t doze off and miss my connecting flight. 41898 - fifteen(Don’t you hate when that happens?)63668 - MP3 case

Sometimes I actually use my flight time to work, so I filter out background noise with my personal MP3 player. I found a cute and colorful case that not only protects the device, it can be held or worn 6 different ways, leaving my hands available for other things. (Like when I’m feeling free to move about the cabin!)

68014_15 - water bottlesIt’s always nice to save money here and there, and buying beverages can be expensive. Taking my own aluminum water bottle along also helps keep plastic out of the landfills. The unique style eliminates the chance of my bottle getting mixed up with anyone else’s if I set it down. And, the handy clip means I can attach it to my travel bag or purse—another hands-free bonus!

Given the choice, I much prefer the amenities of home, but it’s great to know that even though I do have to travel, I don’t have to settle for anything less than convenience and comfort on the road.
