Clean House or Clean Getaway? That’s A Tough One…

I love housecleaning. I love it about as much as I love prying gum off the bottom of my shoe—one of those little annoyances in life.  Nevertheless, it has to be done.  But I’m going in fighting!  I’m arming myself with the best defense of all—a sense of humor so that my most “un-favorite” thing doesn’t get the best of me!

First, I put on my official housework uniform.  This keeps the grumbling under control because the T-shirt says it all.  Then I visit each room in the house, doing my best to sweep, dust, scrub, and shine all the most noticeable areas and surfaces.  I’m definitely not one of those women who’s afraid of breaking a nail—I’m more concerned about breaking a sweat!  Just kidding—but seriously, in my humble opinion, if I have to crawl around or climb up to clean it, you probably can’t see it anyway.

After my tour of duty, I make sure everyone knows how I feel about having to do it again anytime soon.  I’ve been able to buy myself some time (and get a few laughs) with my Kitchen Closed sign, Housecleaning Pig figure, Clean House Towel Set, and the Home Sweet Home doormat!

A quick shower and it’s time for my great escape.  A blender of margaritas usually does the trick!  

If I’m more in the mood for coffee, I can always use my special mug with the built-in bell. Then when I ring for my imaginary maid to bring me a refill, I’ll also have her bring the feather duster and a step-ladder so she can catch those cobwebs I see way up there on that corner shelf!
